ART & CULTURE HIGHLIGHTS:

Jacksonville Main Library • Start on the ground floor with the Green Marketplace hosted in conjunction with the North Florid Green Chamber of Commerce to highlight local “green” businesses. Then head to the 2nd and 3rd floors to attend the opening reception of From Here to Jacksonville featuring photographer River Dana.


MOCA • Grab a drink from the Marilyn Bar and view the new exhibit on display, A Moment in Beijing: Su Xinping, Weng Yunpeng and Jizi, featuring Chinese contemporary art.


Southlight Gallery • Don’t miss the last viewing of the exhibit The Three Graces by artists Nancy R. Schultz, Nofa Dixon and Dee Roberts. And enjoy the expansive and expressive canvases of M.J. Hinson and wood sculpted Lamelliforms by David Engdahl.


And view more works on the 2nd floor of the Hemming Plaza Jewelers. Admission is free on Art Walk nights.

Hollywood Cuts • Check out local rappers at The Lyricist Live, an open-mic street cypher from 5-10 p.m.

Bellwether • Support local farms, breweries and bakeries by dining on timeless American cuisine.


Sweet Pete Candy Co. • Head upstairs to Pete’s Creamery for a Root Beer Float or a Triple Fudge Sundae. And on Duval Day, be on the look out for Jags colored hand pulled lollipops and a special Duval Dessert.


Super Food and Brew • Enjoy happy hour from 3-6 p.m. with $4 drafts and $3 wine. Stick around to enjoy live music from 6-9 p.m. featuring artist Chelsey Michelle Duo, the ongoing art exhibit featuring Caroline Preston and Stephen Durden and live art demonstrations.


Vagabond Coffee Co & Bodega • Discover DTJax's newest coffee and baked goods shop and host of the Vagabond Flea, a market featuring local up-cyclers, antique sellers and more.


Burrito Gallery • Grab a bite and enjoy a musical performance by Full Moon Folk from 5:30-9:30 p.m.

AFTER DARK HIGHLIGHTS  

1904 Music Hall • Celebrate Duval with live music by local artists Whole Wheat Bread, Evergreen Terrace, Rob Roy, Swordz, Universal Green and more. Advanced tickets are on sale for $9.04. Doors open at 5 p.m. music begins at 6 p.m.


Myth Nightclub • Get your groove on at Silent Disco Neon Garden! edition featuring over a dozen DJs on five different music channels, artists, dance performances and specials all night long.


The Volstead • Enjoy $9.04 cocktails all night long and live music by The Junco Royals from 9 p.m.-12 a.m.


Bold City Brewery • Listen to live music by Jay Live acoustic tunes from 6-9 p.m. and try Wobbly Water Teal Pineapple Seltzer to get into the Jags spirit!
